Eagle Trail ("we", "us", "our") is an online apparel retailer based in Alberta, Canada. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable (for example, when information crosses provincial or national borders), the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, order details, and messages you send us.
Payment information: processed securely by our payment providers (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal). We do not store full card numbers.
Automatically collected information: device and browser data, IP address, pages viewed and cookies, used to run and improve the store.

2. How we use it

To process, ship and support your orders, returns and refunds
To manage your account and respond to inquiries
To send marketing emails, only with your consent
To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and improve our products and website
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

3. Consent

By placing an order or giving us your information, you consent to its collection and use for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us.

4. Email marketing (CASL)

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We only send commercial electronic messages with your express or implied consent. Every message identifies Eagle Trail, includes our contact information, and has a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, shipping carriers and email tools, and only as needed to provide their services, or when required by law.

6. Storage outside Canada

Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada (for example, in the United States). In that case your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for essential store functions (cart, checkout), preferences and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

8. Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. tax records), and we protect it with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask questions about our practices. We will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days under Alberta PIPA).
